Grandparent Date Night!!

On Friday March 18, 6-8p.m. the Autumn Glow Senior Activity Center will host the FIRST ANNUAL Grandparent Date Night!!  Grandparents bring your grand children to experience the Fabulous Fifties era together.  Put on your “Blue Suede Shoes” for this Decade Dynasty Dinner Theatre Show.

This is the first time Autumn Glow Senior Activity Center, Kaysville Parks and Recreation along with a private business The Choral Collection has put on a major event to reach out to the baby boom population, however, grandparents and grand children of all ages are invited to attend.

Offering a high energy show, featuring students from The Choral Collection, that will take you on a non-stop musical journey through one of the greatest decades of American music history! Sing along to your favorites including The Everly Brothers, Elvis Presley, The Platters and Billy Haley and his Comets, plus so many more.

Our local area Health Clinics, IHC Creekside Clinic, Tanner Clinic, U of U Healthcare and Ogden Clinic, and Humana will be involved helping with decorations. Kaysville City Mayor will both judge and award the prize for best decorations.

Dinner will be offered with traditional fifties food, hamburger’s or hot dogs french fries and root beer floats!

Register on-line for tickets through Kaysville Parks and Recreation at www.kaysvillerec.com . Tickets are $6 per person. The deadline for ticket reservations is March 11 2016. The event will be held at the Autumn Glow Senior Activity Center.

Come see our NEW STUDIO in Kaysville, just off 2nd North at 75 E 200 North.  (On the North side of the building.)
As always, your FIRST CLASS IS FREE!!  We want to make sure your student LOVES our classes.

What We Do

The Choral Collection has been teaching young people to entertain for over 30 years. From our humble beginnings, to an entertainment organization with credits from around the world. Many of our alumni have accomplished great things thanks to the skills learned from their Choral Collection experience. Many have received college scholarships for music and dance, or pursued a professional career in the arts.

Some things you may have a chance to participate in as a member of the Choral Collection are:

  • Spring & Christmas concerts
  • Solo Opportunities
  • Group performance & learning tours
  • Special class activities
  • Guest instructors
  • Exposure to many styles of music and entertainment

Hi Singers,
Hope you had a fantastic Thanksgiving!!!

Our performance tomorrow is at 198 W. Center Street in Kaysville. Please be ready to perform, in full costume, at roll call time. A good rehearsal is essential for a great performance. Please enter the EAST door of the building and meet in the primary room.

November 28th, Saturday – Nativity Celebration Performance at Kaysville Tabernacle 

  • Roll call time 12:30pm for Young Uns, Expressions, Forte’,Ovation, Dynamics. Performance time 1:00. (Done by 1:30pm)

Tuesday, November 24th – Choral Collection presents its Annual Christmas Preview Performance at Fairfield Junior High, in Kaysville.

Many of our performances have limited seating,we would encourage you to invite your family and friends to this performance to avoid those issues.

We are asking a $1per person donation to cover the building rental.

6:30 Roll call for ALL performers. 7:00 Performance time.  Show will be approx. one hour.

Performance Monday 11/16

Costumes have still not arrived.  Please have your student wear their Choral Collection T-shirt and jeans (good condition, no rips or tears.)  Girls should wear character shoes, boys should wear black dress shoes.

Girls, Please have HAIR AND MAKE-UP performance ready.  Hair pulled away from your faces, wear lipstick, blush and mascara or eye-liner.

This is a free event to benefit the SafeHarbor Womens Shelter.  This is an AWESOME family night activity, come cheer on your Choral Collection friends!!  Below is more information:

Performance FRIDAY!!

Singers,  

Our FIRST performance for the year is this Friday, Sept 25th at the Clearfield Amphitheater at 6:30pm.   Roll call is 6:00 – please be prompt!  The rehearsal time before the show is vital, we do not schedule a full dress rehearsal for this performance, this is the only opportunity we get to work with the kids on places.

BACKSTAGE INFO

Our “Spotlight” kids will be helping with the younger classes backstage, but we still need parents to be there for when they are on stage.  If you have already volunteered….THANK YOU! We still need more volunteers.  You WILL be able to watch your child perform, then you can be with their class backstage.  We ask that each parent with students under 12 years old, take at least ONE opportunity to be backstage sometime during the performance year.  Please email me ASAP if you would be able to help out.

VENUE

We will meet at Clearfield Amphitheater 800 E 650 S, behind the library.  In case of inclement weather, please check our web page or your email.   We do not have an indoor back-up for this year.  So this is the plan….if at ALL possible – the show must go on!

IMPORTANT NOTES

  1. Roll call for all performers will be 6:00pm. Students MUST wear a new for this year CC shirt and DARK LEVI’S and dark shoes. (No Sandals or flip flops. Character shoes and ballet shoes are fine.) If your student does not get a shirt in class this week, they will be handed out at the performance.  If you do not get yours in class, please come a few min early to the performance and change at the venue.
  2. Feel free to invite family and friends to this FREE event.  It is meant as a very informal performance, but the kids LOVE to have people there cheering them on.
  3. HAVE STUDENTS USE THE RESTROOM BEFORE COMING.  We have a SHORT program for this performance, if we take restroom breaks they may miss a majority of their songs.
  4. ALL Girls need to have their hair pulled back from their faces.   It can be left long in back or pulled in a pony tail, but the front MUST be secured. Girls, light make-up is suggested: mascara, blush and lipstick.

If we do have to cancel, we will arrange a small “class performance” for each class during their regular class times the following week.  In short….pray for us 🙂  The kids have worked SO hard, and are so excited to show you what they have been working on!!

Our performance will last approx. 45Min.

Parking and Directions to the Browning Center at WSU

Parents,  Below is a link for a map, parking information, and directions to the Browning center.  The Allred Theater is on the South side of the building.

Please be in the Allred Auditorium, dressed in your regular costume and ready to begin rehearsal promptly at 5:00pm.  Have any other costumes for your class in the same bag or box your student brought last Friday.

Please no food or drink in the auditorium or backstage.  Water bottles are ok.

Arrive on May 1st and 2nd ready to perform at 6:00. Thanks!
